Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry

Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry

Synopsis:
No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outside with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could have never imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.

Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

My Review:
♫♫♫♫♫-Presto!
Better make some time in your schedule because you'll be wanting to read this book. It is so totally amazing! I couldn't stop reading it once I started. It pulls you in, and you get lost in it.

The cover says it's "A riveting and emotional ride!" —New York Times bestselling author Simone Elkeles. Well, I cannot tell you how right Simone Elkeles was! This book had me crying for, I think, more than 10 chapters straight. I was a complete mess reading this book. All the while, I was loving it like none other. This book wasn't one where your typical smoking hot bad boy starts dating the perfect popular chick, have a fight, make up, and love each other forever. No. This book is full of mysteries, love, and tears.

The book was told in two points of views, Noah Hutchins and Echo Emerson. These two people have been given difficult situations to live with, and the book tells of how they deal with it. Echo has horrific looking scars on her arms, without a clue as to how they got there. Noah gets passed around in foster homes, while trying to get his brothers and him back together as a family once he graduates. Though the two have obvious attraction, difficulties get in the way.

The characters in this book were well developed, and I fell in love with them. Echo Emerson was a popular girl, turned outcast. She woke up from the hospital with scars on her arms, and no idea how they got there. She goes to school, and everyone thinks she tried to commit suicide or became a cutter. No one knows the truth, not even Echo. Echo gave me the feelings of curiosity and wonder as to what happened that night. And I was right along with Echo every step of the way, as she learns what happens and her memory comes back to her. Noah Hutchins was the kind of guy who had one-night stands and doesn't fall in love...until Echo comes along that is. The two had me laughing, blushing, crying, and loving the whole way through. Then there was Lila, Echo's best friend who stuck with her through every single thing she went through. There was also Isaiah and Beth, Noah's best friends. I loved them all during the process of reading this. And let me say, I can't wait for Beth's story, Dare You To.

Anyone who likes to read YA Contemporary should pick up this book right away, because it's really amazing and I love it. You will not want to stop until you finish the book, and even then, you'll want more Echo and Noah.

Just an Update!

Hello Lovely People!

This is just an small update on what's been going on. As you can see, I haven't posted a review or anything recently and that's because I've been loaded up on homework for school.

But! Because I've been neglecting my blog these last few weeks, I will be posted a whole bunch more in a little bit.

My Plan:
  • A Review on Pushing The Limits by Katie McGarry
  • Stacking the Shelves post #1!!!
  • A Review on Origin by Jessica Khoury
  • *Maybe* A cover reveal. But I don't want to tell the details, just in case it doesn't happen
  • A Review of Pledged by Gwynneth White--which I promised to read and review by October 9
So there is my plan because I haven't been posting at all since school started! Stay tuned and keep reading!
I should have the review of Pushing The Limits up by the end of the week!
